Dump Truck Driver

    We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent driving skills, and a commitment to safety. As a Dump Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting materials such as dirt, gravel, sand, and other construction-related materials and to various job sites.

    Suitable team members are reliable individuals who enjoy working outdoors daily and are comfortable using various excavation-related tools and equipment.

      Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

      Expected hours: 45 – 55 per week

      Additional pay: Overtime pay

      Work Location: On the road

    • Safely operate a dump truck to transport materials to and from job sites.

    • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any issues or necessary repairs.

    • Ensure the truck is loaded and unloaded safely and efficiently.

    • Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and applicable regulations.

    • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including load tickets, mileage logs, and service hours.

    • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site supervisors, and other team members.

    • Assist with site preparation, clean-up, and other tasks as needed.

    • Maintain a clean and organized truck, both inside and out.

    • Communicating any unsafe conditions or accidents/ injuries on time.

    • Other duties may be assigned as required.

    • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (DZ/AZ) with appropriate endorsements.

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a dump truck driver or similar role.

    • Clean driving record with no major violations.

    • Familiarity with local, provincial, and federal regulations related to commercial driving.

    • Ability to operate a manual transmission.

    • Strong understanding of safety protocols and commitment to safe driving practices.

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    • Excellent communication and time management skills.

    • Strong work ethic and interest in being a part of the team.

    • 24/7 availability may be required, overtime as required.

    • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions.

    • Travel to off-site locations.

    • Safety equipment will be required, e.g., steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc.

    • Hazards associated with the trade.

    • Must be able to sit, stand, bend and/or crouch for long periods of time.

    • 10-hour shift

    • Day shift

    • Monday to Friday

    Ability to commute/relocate: Kitchener-Waterloo, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
